Opening Route file with a double-click
A very convenient way to open a VIBER X5 Route file is just to double-click on it.
To do this, first you must instruct the Windows Operating System to recognize the .x5r files as VIBER X5 Route files.
You can do this easily, assuming that the SpectraPro© package is installed into your computer.
Browse for a VIBER X5 Route file (having .x5r extension) and double-click on it.
Because in the mean time Windows Operating System doesn’t recognize the file type, a specific window will appear to ask you regarding what application to be used to open the file:
Click onto the Browse button and locate where the RouteViewer.exe file is placed (in the default installation of the SpectraPro© software, the directory is C:\Program Files\SpectraPro).
Don’t forget to check the “Always use the selected program to open this kind of file” option.
Press the OK button and the selected file will be opened with RouteViewer directly.
From now on, each time when double-clicking a VIBER X5 Route file, it will be directly opened.
Note that the Route files icon will also be changed.
