2. Installation
Please
confirm the following items before installation.
Quit other
applications before installation. The installation cannot be done properly
while other applications are running.
Please close
all applications and select OK to try again."
·
Remove
applications like Microsoft Office Manager from the start up applications.
It may cause a conflict with a DLL file
that is used in the rebooting process after installation of the XTrend
software.
·
If
these message still remains after all of the applications have been deleted
from the task bar quit the program with the following procedure:
Press
Ctrl+Alt+Delete and use the application quit dialog box.
Installation is simply done by following the directions described below.
1.
Insert
the CD in CD ROM drive.
2.
If the
auto-run don’t work, explore the CD contents and run manually
\XTrend\setup.exe
3.
If
auto-run start, just click on X-Trend button.
4.
When
installation is completed, the successfully message will appear.
Note: (Only for Windows NT, XP and
If in time of
installation you receive an error, this means that you do not have
administrator privileges.
Make sure you
have administrator privileges or call the administrator.
When the
installation is completed and before you run the XTrend software for the first
time, take the following actions:
·
Is
there a printing problem?
If so, test
with another printer on the same computer to determine whether the problem is
printer specific.
If you have
some problems with the software or the installation, you can reinstall it.
To do this,
please confirm the following items before reinstallation:
1.
Close
the X-Trend
application.
2.
Close
all other open application.
3.
Run
the "Uninstall XTrend" program
4.
The
uninstall procedure will begin, and all the parts of the software will be
remove (deleted), except the XTrend.ini file and template database.
Of course, your databases with all the
measurements will be not removed.
5.
Follow
the installing procedure from the paragraph 2.2.
6.
Start
again the XTrend and make the necessary settings with Option command.
1.
First
you must run once the X-Trend.
2.
If the
auto-run don’t work, explore the CD contents and run manually
\ServicePack\ SetupSP.exe
3.
If
auto-run start, just click on ServicePack button.
4.
When
installation is completed, the successfully message will appear.
Alternatively, if you have an Internet, run X-Trend and form Main
menu select Help >Check for update.
This action will install the latest available Service Pack, if any.
