Education
VMI AB has worked with training seminars for several years.
Condition monitoring is a cost effective way for maintenance work. Vibration measurement is the work procedure which has proven to give the most detailed information about the machine condition. Different faults generate vibrations with special characteristics. Knowledge about analyzing the vibration measurement is a good way to find the faults of the machine.
In this basic training the participants learn how to measure and analyze the most frequent faults. We discuss common types of faults; such as unbalance, bearing faults, resonance etc., and information about how to solve the problems. Theory is mixed with practical assignments in machine analysis and balancing. We have about 8 training seminars every year. Open seminars are not in any way focused on a specific product or brand.
Basic training seminars
Create an understanding of how vibration measurements can be used as a tool for increased machine run-time and more effective operation costs. The participants shall have a basic knowledge of condition monitoring and be able to measure, understand and attend to the root causes of damaging vibrations.
Participators should have experience from industrial activities.
Advanced training seminars
Frequency spectra and frequency analysis are the most effective ways of detecting machine problems. This training includes how to interpret frequency spectra, how a frequency spectra is constructed, sources of error etc. We also discuss cases where other methods may give more information. A lot of authentic cases will be used in the training. Participators learn how to use computer based measurement instruments and understand how machine vibrations can be used to detect various kinds of faults. The participants shall be able to perform measurements and analysis with the help of computer based measurement systems.
Participators need experience from condition monitoring. (Knowledge compared to the course “Basic training")
Schedule for training seminars 2010
All seminars are held in Swedish, seminars in English after agreement. |
